Ali-A is one of the most popular creators on YouTube, having been creating content since 2006 and gaining 17.5 million subscribers and over 5 billion views on the website, and now he is set to join the Fortnite Icon Series as the latest creator to receive his own skin in the game.

This marks the second time this month that a new Icon Series skin has been released, with the popular Twitch streamer Chica receiving her own skin recently.

Ali-A joins fellow creators such as Ninja, Lazarbeam, Loserfruit, Lachlan, and Bugha by being immortalized in Fortnite.

Ahead of the release of the Ali-A Icon Series skin later this week, players can take part in the Ali-A Cup to try and win the skin early.

When is the Ali-A Cup?

In a blog post, Epic Games announced that the Ali-A Cup which will take place on May 18th, with the top players in each region winning the Ali-A skin before its official release the following day.

The Ali-A Cup will be open to all players regardless of their Arena rank, Fortnite’s competitive mode, and will feature the usual competitive aspects such as siphon upon elimination, moving storm circles, and a cap of 500 materials per type. The tournament will also take place in the Duos format so you will need a friend to play with in order to win the Ali-A skin.

How to unlock the Ali-A Icon Series skin early

Players across all regions that earn 8 points in the tournament will receive the Ali-A Army emoticon item to use in-game, and then the top-scoring players will earn the Ali-A outfit and Ali-Tech Backplate back bling.

Here is how many players will receive the outfit in each region.

  • Europe – 1,200
  • NA-East – 800
  • NA-West – 350
  • Brazil – 350
  • Asia – 100
  • Oceania – 100
  • Middle East – 100

Here is the point format for the Chica Cup, with the winner of each game earning 25 points and 1 point per elimination.

2nd: 22 Points
3rd: 20 Points
4th: 18 Points
5th: 17 Points
6th: 16 Points
7th: 15 Points
8th: 14 Points
9th: 13 Points
10th: 12 Points
11th: 11 Points
12th: 10 Points

Each Elimination: 1 Point

It is difficult to predict how many points a team will need to earn the skin, but it will likely be somewhere around 100-130 points.

For those that are unable to secure the Ali-A Icon Series skin in the tournament, it will be released in the Fortnite Item Shop on Thursday, May 19th.

No price has been given for the outfit but will likely cost 1,500 or 1,600 V-Bucks based on previous Icon Series skins, and will also feature a bundle with other cosmetics including an emote that will likely cost 2,500-2,800 V-Bucks.
