The 25th Anniversary Celebration stream celebrating the original release of FFVII back in 1997 just announced Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, AKA Remake part 2. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, a remake of the original Crisis Core game was also announced in the same stream.

Alongside both of them, Final Fantasy VII Intergrade is also being immediately released on Steam in preparation for the second Remake game. It was an interesting choice of going with a new title for the installment instead of “Remake Part II” or something similar, given the events of the game.

The trailer picks up from the final moments of Remake when the story begins to differ from the original course. It also gives some focus to Zack, who was an unexpected surprise in the first game. Rebirth is scheduled to be released next winter for the PS5.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion

A remake for Crisis Core was already anticipated by fans since Remake was released. Crisis Core was released in 2007 exclusively for the PSP and hadn’t received any port until now. Reunion will be released for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Xbox One, and Series X/Y this winter.

Steam is also finally receiving Final Fantasy VII: Intergrade right away, which is basically Final Fantasy VII Remake + the Yuffie DLC chapter. It will also be available for the Steam Deck.

Other announcements include the new Mobile game Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, a game showing the story from both Cloud and Zack’s points of view. Not much was shown for this title, but it seems to be an online game and will be soon available for Closed Beta Test for iOS and Android.

Also, a trailer with new content for the mobile battle royale game Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier was also released, showing new classes and Materias available for the game.
