Today, developer Toys for Bob revealed that their hit game Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which released in October 2020 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, is making a grand return on March 12, this time for the PlayStation 5, with versions for the Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC coming at a later date.

Not only that but in an exclusive interview with PushSquare, Lou Studdert, creative producer for Toys for Bob, revealed that the new version of the game will be PS5 native, coss-save and that those that already have a copy for the title for the PlayStation 4 will be able to acquire the new version for free. 

He also revealed that the game will run in a 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second, with faster loading times, new functions focused on the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and the console’s Activity Cards.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was first released on September 16 of last year, after the groundbreaking success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, both released in 2018. Toys for Bog describes the game as: 

”It’s About Time – for a brand-wumping new Crash Bandicoot game! Crash fourward into a time-shattered adventure with your favorite marsupials. Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are back at it again and launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse! Crash and Coco are here to save the day by reuniting the Four Quantum masks and bending the rules of reality. New abilities? Check. More playable characters? Yep. Alternate dimensions? Obviously. Ridonkulous bosses? For sure. Same awesome sauce? You bet your sweet jorts. Wait, are they actually jorts? Not in this universe!”
