Ghost of Tsushima Sequel Fan Art

UPDATE: – Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut announced with single-player expansion. Read more below.

We know it’s a big claim, but we’re pretty confident in saying that Ghost of Tsushima is the best (if not one of the best) PlayStation Exclusive on the PS4. Recently, a number of leaks and rumours are suggesting that there’s a Ghost of Tsushima sequel in the works at Sucker Punch Productions and we’re due to hear more about it soon. Here’s everything we know so far.

LATEST – Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut Confirmed

The Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima is coming on August 20th with a whole host of new content!

There’s a new story expansion that takes place on the Isle of Iki, Japanese Voice Over Lip sync features, all the usual next-gen upgrades and additional cosmetic items exclusive to the Director’s Cut. It isn’t a Ghost of Tsushima sequel, but it’s not the worst by any account! You can check out the expansion below…

To upgrade between PS4 and PS5, it’ll set you back the equivalent of $10. If you want to upgrade to the Director’s Cut, which includes the DLC, it’s the equivalent of $20. To upgrade from the base PS4 version to the Director’s Cut on PS5, it’s a single $30 upgrade. Not bad, all things considered.

Ghost of Tsushima Sequel – What We Know So Far

At the moment, as you might imagine, we don’t have anything official to confirm or deny that a Ghost of Tsushima sequel is in the works. However, there’s a few leaks and rumours worth talking about…

Firstly, it looks like the Ghost of Ikishima domain name has recently been registered online. This is the rumoured title for the sequel and/or standalone expansion to Ghost of Tsushima. Of course, not everyone is convinced that this is the case as there’s a growing school of thought that suggests this is nothing more than an eagle-eyed fan trying to snatch the domain name ahead of any activity from Sony and Sucker Punch Productions.

To counter this, French-language site JeuxVideo seems to confirm that Ghost of Tsushima DLC is in the works and it’s due to appear at a Sony Experience broadcast on July 8th. This is a little sooner than we anticipated, but it could be something to do with the “Ghost of Ikishima” name… Just maybe.
