With the release of Honkai Impact 3rd’s latest animated short ”Everlasting Flames”, we decided to make a list of our five favorite animated shorts from the game.

  • Attention, the following list contains spoilers for Honkai impact 3rd main storyline, as well as the fate of many characters. 

5 – Cyberangel: ZERO Exception 

The animated short which marks Bronya’s awakening as the Herrscher of Reason, ”Ciberangel: Zero Exception” closes the game’s chapter 11 ”Deep End of the Sea”, where Bronya faced not only her fears but also her memories in her search for a way to save Seele and protect her friends.

The animated short features the song ”Cyberangel”, produced by HOYO-Mix and ´performed by Bronya’s Chinese voice actress Hanser.

4 – Will of the Herrscher 

The animated short which marks the awakening of the Herrscher of the Void and the beginning of a calamity in which almost destroyed everything, ”Will of the Herrscher’ is not only a first glimpse at the destructive powers of the Herrscher’s but also closes one of the game’s most beloved chapters in an unforgettable way.

The animation also made spectacularly clear to players that, no matter what happens in the future of the game, things will never be the same, all while showcasing perfect in-sync animations with the song ”Befall”, produced by HOYO-MiX and performed by Shang Wenjie.

3 – Shattered Samsara

”Shattered Samsara” is the animated short which marks the end of the battle against the Herrscher of Sentience, in the final act of Chapter 22 ”Me and Myself”, showcasing the end of the arc’s final battle as well as the deep bond between Kiana and Fu Hua, all in while ”Rubia”, performed by Zhou Shen plays.

The short illustrates Fu Hua’s journey perfectly, her mission, and the deep bond she shares with her friends, all while closing the Herrscher of Sentience arc in a beautiful note.

2 – Everlasting Flames 

The game’s newest animated short, which closes an important chapter in one of the game’s biggest character arcs, and pulls the final curtain on the game’s latest multichapter arc. ”Everlasting Flames” is the culmination of Kiana’s many battles and a testament to her resolve, as well as the bond’s shared among the Valkyries.

Featuring callbacks to many of the game’s animated shorts in its song ”Moon Halo”, produced by HOYO-MiX, and performed by Hanser, Chalili, and TetraCalyx.

The animated short is featured in the third act of the game’s 25th chapter, which will be released in the global version at a later date.

1 – Final Lesson

The animated short witch presented many, including the one writing this article, to the world of Honkai Impact 3rd. 

”Final Lesson”, which takes place in the final Act of chapter 9, ”Journey for Tomorrow”, showcases Himeko’s battle and sacrifice to save Kiana, as well as her Final Lesson for her beloved student.

The animation became one of the most beloved moments in the game and it’s a pivotal moment for its story. 

The animated short showcases the song ”Nightglow”, performed by the singer Tanya Shua, and was produced by HOYO-Mix. Got the tissues ready?

On Honkai Impact 3rd, players take on the role of the Valkyries and their allies, as they fight to protect the world from the Honkai and to avoid a second ”extinction” of humankind. 

Right now, you can take part in the game’s version 4.9, which features not only chapter 25 of the main story but also the debut of Genshin Impact’s Fischl in the game, as well as take part in many cross-over events, which features exclusive missions featuring a playable Keqing, Lupus Boreas as a boss, Paimon as an unlockable companion, and a new Klee-themed outfit for Theresa’s Celestial Hymn battlesuit, and more.
