Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has a very nice crafting system you can use to get most cards you could want, so here’s how to craft / generate cards.

How to craft cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel

Thanks to the developers of the game, the crafting process in Yu-Gi-Oh Master duel is actually incredibly simple, and won’t take more than a quick glance to figure out once you’ve seen where everything is.

To start crafting (or Generating, as the game calls it) your own cards, head into the DECK screen from the main menu. From here, simply select any template deck you have to enter the deck editing interface.

Now that you’re in the deck editing screen, turn your attention to the top left of the screen. These are your currency counters, which display how much of each card rarity currency you have. These are used to craft your cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, so the more the better. Unfortunately, getting it isn’t usually free, so don’t go chasing big numbers there without realising what it costs.

Following on from that, the right-hand side of the screen shows the card list. The card list has a variety of filters and search options you can use to find specific cards, but to gain crafting currency you’ll want to use those filters to limit it to cards you already own. I’ll use my Thunder Dragons as an example, as I have 6 of them, which is 3 more than I’ll need.

To follow what I do here and dismantle your own cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, simply select a card you have some spares of – don’t get rid of your own Thunder Dragons just because I did with mine – and then hit the dismantle button in the bottom left corner.

Note that not all cards, typically ones in premade decks, can be dismantled.

When you’ve dismantled some cards, you’ll be granted some currency of the matching rarity. You can use that to select a card you want and hit generate, which will craft you a copy of the card you asked for. The conversion ratio is 10 currency per card dismantled (foil and other variants can be more), while it costs 30 to craft a single card. It could certainly be nicer, but that isn’t a terrible ratio or anything.

Anything else to mention?

That’s all there is to crafting new cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, have fun with your new cards.

And remember, you’ll still need to be getting new packs to get new things to dismantle anyway, so don’t try to rely exclusively on crafting from now on unless you have plenty of cards to waste.
