Tower of Fantasy: Ruby is the new SSR Simulacrum

Tower of Fantasy has released Ruby as their new SSR Simulacrum with the game ushering the new Vera sector under the version 2.0.4 update.

After much anticipation, Ruby has been confirmed to be the new SSR Simulacrum after Tower of Fantasy has released the Vera preview a few months ago. There are three SSR characters set to be released with the Vera sector; Lin, Ruby, and Suki Fuwa. There has not been any information as to when the other two characters will be released. According to previously posted information on their website, Lin will follow Ruby and will be ended by Suki Fuwa.

The new events with Ruby are the Desert Sun for the SSR Simulacrum and Dreamwalker for the Special Red Voucher which would possibly yield Ruby matrices.

How to get Ruby in Desert Sun

Together with the Desert Sun are the Burning Reaction and Skillful Intuition events where players can get the Cobalt-B Simulacrum and matrices, respectively. On both the Desert Sun and Burning Reaction, players are still guaranteed to get an SR or an SSR every 10 orders and a guaranteed SSR after 80 orders. The likelihood of a player getting an SSR weapon or matrix without the pity system is 0.75%. All the events posted as limited-time events have a 50% higher chance of possibility when it comes to getting SSR weapons or matrix. Once the event is done, it will be added to the pool of weapons in the Choice Weapon Special Order. The matrices will be added to the Choice Matrices Special Order. This means that it will add to the rest of the Simulacrum and matrices that you have not been able to get.

The best way to ensure that you get an SSR weapon that you prefer is to continue to farm Red Nucleus and continuously order in the Special Orders. Once you are almost at 80 for that event, stop unless you want to get that weapon. Otherwise, you can just wait until the new character is released to guarantee that you get it. You can also purchase Red Nucleus from the Commissary using your Dark Crystals. It costs 150 Dark Crystals for each Red Nucleus.

Ruby backstory and weapon details

There is little background provided regarding the story of Ruby. However, based on the information that has been released, it appears that Ruby was conceived from an “experiment.” It has not been officially disclosed as to what organization is behind the experiment, but since the concern centers around Vera, this is likely the Heirs of Aida. Even after completing the main story, it does not disclose the specifics of the origin of Ruby.

Weapon	Spark
Weapon Effects	Flame – Once fully charged, any enemy attack will be set on fire for 8 seconds. The next attack will also have an additional 58% of ATK damage every second. Once set on fire, the healing efficiency of enemies will be cut in half.
	Flame Resonance – Equip at least two weapons with the Flame Element to activate this Resonance. This increases the flame ATK by 15%and flame resistance by 25%. Make sure that the weapons are in the same stack where you can quickly swap weapons during battle.
Weapon Abilities	Spark Attack – Spark does 5 normal attacks consecutively while on the ground.
	Aerial Discharge – Spark does 4 normal attacks while suspended mid-air.
	Gotcha! – Hold the attack button to make Sparky fire a continuous energy beam that can be locked to a certain target. This also consumes the endurance points of the character. Spark can also perform this move after completing a Lockdown Zone.
	Blazing Dive – Spark will fire an energy beam continuously while freefalling or while suspended mid-air while the player is holding the attack button.
	Lockdown Zone – Do an attack twice and then hold the attack button on the third normal attack. This summons confinement for the target enemy that will continue to burn the target for 3 seconds. This move cannot be done to bosses.
Dodge	Go, Dolly! – If you try to dodge and then attack quickly, the player will summon Dolly who will lure enemies for 10 seconds and will deal damage equal to 84.6% of ATK + 4 against the enemies. This will also divert the attention of the enemies to Dolly for 1.5 seconds.
Passive	The player gets 1 point of Heat with a 0.9-second cooldown when active in combat while Spark is equipped. Once the heat meter reaches the top, the Wanderer will have a temporary buff called “Ultimate Heat”. This increased their Flame damage by 10% for 25 seconds.
