Tower of Fantasy: How to get the Maglev Stalker

Tower of Fantasy Maglev Stalker How to Get

Last Updated on: 13th September 2022, 08:26 pm

The Maglev Stalker is one of the most elusive components in Tower of Fantasy. Once you get this and the Magnetic Rod, you can build the chaser.

The chaser is a vehicle that looks like a vacuum or a broom, depending on how you personally see it. It’s a bragging right in the world of Aida to just be able to whip up the vehicle out at a whim. After all, the parts needed to assemble it are things very few players have. The Maglev Stalker in particular is notorious for being a component with a severely high rarity, even for veteran players in the global version of Tower of Fantasy.

There are those truly lucky players that have been blessed by the Vermin Brothers with their most cherished possession. If you’re here reading this though, you’re likely not one of those players.

Before going on for hours on end just trying to get the Maglev Stalker, make sure you already have the Magnetic Rod. Obtaining that component by comparison is fairly simple. If you just started, make your way to the upper part of the map of Astra. You should see “Rusty Belt” in the map. The small stronghold on that location is where you can find the component. Simply defeat the monsters of that location and the drop will always include the Magnetic Rod. You can also use the Spacerift as shown below:

Where to find the Maglev Stalker

With the Magnetic Rod obtained, your biggest challenge is now waiting for you. If you are adamant about using the chaser, we recommend that you at least have completed all the main stories in Banges. There are four locations where you can find the mini-bosses that drop the Maglev Stalker. As the game describes it, “The Vermin Brothers’ cherished possession and possibly a future tabletop.” The item itself is a low-probability drop from the Vermin Brothers.

One of the Vermin Brothers is located in Astra, while the three are scattered across Banges. Make sure that you have already accessed all the Spacerifts of Banges before using this guide to make the transition between each location less complicated.

As to how low the probability of the drop is for the Maglev Stalker, popular belief indicates that it is around 0.03%, while others say it could be lower. The frustration of players even spurred a subreddit made purely for this component. Here you will see comments from other players saying they have spent at least 10 hours cycling through the mini-bosses just to get the required item for the vehicle.

Rat’s Den: Squeaky

The first location is Astra. The mini-boss that may drop the item is located in the east part of the Southern Ring Ranges. There is a Spacerift a little northeast of it. You can use that to get the Rat’s Den. Just dash midair three times, and you should be able to get to there.

You will need to use your jetpack to get to the second floor of the location. Just look for the big sign that says “RECYCLE”.

You will need to take down the mini-boss from here. The name of the mini-boss is Gamma Mouse Squeak. Use weapons that have the Frost Resonance to have an easier time.

Rat’s Den: Jed

The second location is in Banges. There is a useful Spacerift located at the west of Mt. Woochu. Make sure to activate your vehicle as soon as you hit the ground when you are teleported. This will allow you to travel faster to the location.

Go east to reach the seashore. Climb higher to reach the next member of the Vermin Brothers.

There will be other enemies in the location, but they should be manageable. Just make sure that you have enough health to defeat them easily.

Signal Station Ruins

The third location is also in Banges. Use the Spacerift at the east of Signal Station Ruins. After that travel north and jump to get to the main road just northeast of Signal Station Ruins.

The third member of the Vermin Brothers will be patrolling this road.

Just walk around the vicinity to find Beta Mouse Ben. If you cannot find the mini-boss, look for a Hyena camp with a pot in the middle. Just south of that is a bigger camp. That is where Beta Mouse Ben normally starts his patrol.

Rat’s Den: Jed

The fourth location is still in Banges. Use the Spacerift northeast of Loen Dock. This location is at a high elevation, so you can just use your jetpack to air travel to the Loen Dock.

You can also use the multiple dashes trick midair to travel faster. Vehicle-use can also simplify things.

This will be the most challenging as Loen Dock houses many mini-bosses. Make sure you have full health before going in to be safe, and use weapons that specialize in AoE, like the Guren Blade of Frigg if possible.

Tips and Tricks to get the Maglev Stalker

There is no way to increase the probability of you getting the Maglev Stalker. However, here are some tips and tricks you need to remember in case you decide to run through the four Vermin Brothers to get the component:

  • All four mini-bosses are weak against the Frost Resonance, so makingsure to equip at least two weapons with the Frost Resonance will make the entire process easier, and faster.
  • Each mini-boss respawns after 2 minutes. Make sure to cycle to at least three of them at a time to maximize your chances of getting the Maglev Stalker.
  • Do not enter the Loen Dock with half your health. Since there are many monsters in that area, make sure to have at least two-thirds of your HP before entering the den.
  • Take breaks. You either need to be persistent or lucky, so not burning yourself out is a better way to go about this than binging it all at once either way.
