Tyranitar is a returning Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, first introduced in the generation 2 games Pokemon Gold/Silver.

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet takes players to the Paldea region, which is based on Spain and the iconic architecture of its towns and cities.

Here is everything you need to know about Tyranitar in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, including Pokedex, where to find and evolve, and moveset.

Pokedex Data

  • Type: Rock/Dark
  • Resistances: Normal, Fire, Poison, Flying, Psychic, Ghost, Dark
  • Weaknesses: Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Bug, Steel, Fairy
  • Scarlet Entry: Extremely strong, it can change the landscape. It is so insolent that it doesn’t care about others.
  • Violet Entry: In just one of its mighty hands, it has the power to make the ground shake and mountains crumble.

Where to find Tyranitar

Tyranitar can be evolved through a Larvitar and Pupitar in Pokemon Scarlet, but the location data for these Pokemon is absent from Pokemon Violet, indicating they may be Scarlet exclusive.

How to evolve Tyranitar

Larvitar evolves into Pupitar at level 30, followed by Tyranitar at level 55.

Tyranitar moveset

With the Paldea games still so early, full moveset charts are still under construction and will be included as soon as they are available.
