Coalossal is a returning Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, first introduced in the generation 8 games Pokemon Sword/Shield.
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet takes players to the Paldea region, which is based on Spain and the iconic architecture of its towns and cities.

Pokedex Data
- Type: Rock / Fire
- Resistances: Normal, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug, Fairy
- Weaknesses: Water, Fighting, Ground, Rock
- Scarlet Entry: To intimidate its opponents, Coalossal will vigorously shake its body, scattering coal from its smoldering back.
- Violet Entry: It’s gentle usually but fearsome when angered. With a body that burns at over 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit, it crushes foes and turns them to ash.
Where to find Coalossal
Coalossal cannot be found in the wild and must be evolved from Rolycoly and Carkol.
How to evolve Coalossal
Rolycoly evolves into Carkol starting at level 18, and then evolves again into Coalossal at level 34 onwards. Coalossal does have a Gigantamax form, but otherwise doesn’t evolve further.
