Pokemon BDSP: Where to find Feebas

The elusive Feebas has long evaded Trainers all over the world since its debut in the Generation 3 games, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Unfortunately, the already obscure method of locating and catching one was only made rougher in Generation 4 and its respective remakes in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Here’s everything you need to know about where to find Feebas!

In both Generations 3 and 4, Feebas became infamous for its anger-inducing locations. In both, Feebas is only encounterable in one route, or in this case, a cave. In both titles, Feebas would only be able to be fished upon a very small number of specific tiles with a 50% encounter rate even on said tiles.
While these tiles were generated upon file creation in RSE, the four tiles in BDSP cycle out daily. Normally, this would be hair tearingly frustrating, as a player can only gain access to the Mt Coronet room shown below after beating the sixth Gym, already fairly far into one’s journey to be the Champion. Add to that a frustrating evolution method and the Feebas line can feel more trouble than its worth even as the monstrous Milotic. There is, however, a catch.
A potential exploit has been found which makes it incredibly easy to obtain Feebas. Using this site, inputting the number of the Jubilife City Lottery allows one to find two of the four Feebas tiles guaranteed. While the site is somewhat self-explanatory, after inputting the number given to you, either the two red or green tiles will be ones that contain Feebas. Remember to check each one multiple times as the encounter rate is a coin flip.
As another small aside, I’ve seen most sites reporting that Feebas can only be fished up with a Super Rod, though the site here as well as other player accounts assure me the Good Rod can also be used to similar success. As such, Feebas can be obtained as early as the first trip up to Route 216 and Snowpoint City!

That’s all there really is to know on where to find Feebas in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. While the remakes may have kept the original location, either through an oversite or through fan creativity, the search has been entirely trivialized. Considering the luck required normally, I’ll take it!
