LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is finally here and lets players experience all nine of the main-line films in one game, the first time this has ever been done.

Previously most of the episodes have been playable across multiple games, with LEGO Star Wars: The Game focusing on the prequels, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy focusing on Episodes 4-6, The Complete Saga combining both games, and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens focusing on Episode 7.

With Star Wars being very confusing when it comes to its release dates, it is understandable that some gamers will be curious as to which point the game begins.

Despite being the 4th episode, A New Hope was actually the first Star Wars movie to be released in 1977, while the first part of the story, The Phantom Menace, didn’t release until 1999.

When it comes to what episode or trilogy that the game begins on, the answer is…all of them.

At the start of the game, players have the option to choose Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode IV: A New Hope, or Episode VII: The Force Awakens, allowing players to jump into their favorite trilogy.

Episodes II, III, V, VI, VIII, and IX are all locked and are unlocked by completing the previous episode.

Although the fourth episode to be released, we think starting on The Phantom Menace makes the most sense as then the player can experience the full story from the beginning of Anakin’s journey right up until the conclusion of Episode IX.
