LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga: How to earn studs fast
Since studs are the main currency in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, it’s essential to know how to earn them as fast as you can. Without enough studs, you won’t be able to purchase items such as ships or core and class upgrades.
In this guide, we will talk about how you can easily earn them fast.
Rarity
Just like real money, different studs have different values. In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, their rarity and value are represented by different colors.
- Silver Studs – These are worth 10 per stud and are the most common ones.
- Gold Studs – These are worth 100 per stud and are slightly rarer than Silver ones.
- Blue Studs – These are worth 1,000 per stud and are a little rare. But these can be found in most areas, just hidden or placed in spots that are not easily accessed.
- Purple Studs – These are worth 10,000 per stud and are the rarest in the game. They can only be found in hidden spots in certain areas or during missions in the place of Minikits.
How to Earn Studs
There are many ways you can earn studs. Below are some basic ways you can earn them in the game:
- Picking them up along the way – Some are just out in the open, and you can just simply pick them up.
- Damaging enemies – Some are rewarded upon defeating enemies based on your successful hits and combos.
- Destroying objects – Some objects in the game such as pots, obstacles, and control panels can be destroyed and will reveal hidden studs.
- Passing through rings – While in flying missions, it’s important to pass through rings to be able to collect studs.
- Clashing with lightsabers – During fights between characters that use lightsabers, the lightsabers could clash and will increase studs gained.
While completing missions is your focus, you must check every corner of an area for studs that may have been hidden.

How to Earn Studs Fast
As you already know how to earn studs in the most basic ways, let’s talk about how you can get them quickly.
1. Unlock stud multipliers
Unlocking stud multipliers is obviously the most efficient way to earn them fast, but these multipliers are quite on the expensive side.
For instance, purchasing the Stud 10x from the Extras Menu costs a whopping 384,000,000 Studs and 1 Datacard.
But then again, we can’t deny the fact that having stud multipliers is a very good investment. The effects of these multipliers are stackable, which means that if you unlock x2, x4, x8, and x10, the return of your investment will surely be a breeze, so get them as soon as you can.
2. Get the Attract Studs Upgrade
You would want to have the Attract Studs upgrade as this upgrade will make nearby studs fly to you, saving your time spent running around collecting them.
You can purchase this upgrade under the Core Upgrades Tree.

3. Farm in Recommended Locations
In all games, some areas are better than others when it comes to grinding out materials. The same is true for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Below are some areas and/or methods we recommend:
- Location: Coruscant – Federal District or Bespin – Cloud City
Method: While riding any of the Walkers near landing pads, bulldoze every crate, pot, and obstacle along the way. After a while, the objects will respawn, and you can farm again.
If you find Walkers a little slow, purchase the Rancor. Note that this requires finishing the first mission of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
- Location: Tatooine – Mos Eisley
Method: Play Episode IV: A New Hope and switch to Free Play. Then, accept the sidequest called Ma Klounkee Most Foul from three Stormtroopers at the plaza outside the Cantina.
While you are required to go inside the Cantina to complete the quest, DO NOT enter yet. Instead, shoot the three Stormtrooper NPCs as they will continue to respawn and reward studs. This method is best done with a Hidden Bounty Hunter with the Hidden Bounty upgrade active.
Note that if you enter the Cantina to go on with the quest, the Stormtroopers will disappear for good.
- Method: Play Episode IV: A New Hope – Stay on Target
You’ll earn as much as 100,000 studs in 7 minutes by completing this flying mission. Here, all you have to do is shoot and destroy turrets and TIE fighters while trying not to crash the X-Wing you are piloting.
