Pokemon games always have you capture plenty of Pokemon, but Legends: Arceus has you catching loads, so how can you release more at once?

Fortunately, there is a feature to deal with the large number of Pokemon you’ll catch in Legends: Arceus.

In Jubilife village, Marie can be found near the gate to the Pokemon Pastures. Speak with her to access the releasing Pokemon interface, then press the X button when inside.

Pressing X in this menu allows you to release multiple Pokemon at a time by selecting more than one at once, which vastly speeds up the releasing process. A very important little tip, given the research system in the game means that you’ll probably capture far more of each individual Pokemon than you usually would in other Pokemon games.

It’s not all extra work though. Releasing Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus comes with extra rewards too; specifically that releasing Pokemon has a chance (a very common one at that) for them to leave you some Grit items behind for you to use when they leave.

As Grit items, from Grit dust to Grit pebbles, are all used to make your Pokemon that little bit stronger, this is actually a very nice gift for the game to just be handing you for something you’d be doing anyway. It allows you to strengthen the Pokemon you like while clearing out more space in your storage in a quick way.

Even just the convenience of clearing Pokemon out this way is worth knowing about though, the free Grit items are just a very useful and nice extra to be given for doing so. If you happen to have a few hundred extra Pokemon that you don’t expect will ever be leaving the Pokemon Pastures, make sure to send some of them back into the wild to cash in on those free power-up items.

And while you’re near the Pokemon Pastures, you can also have your friendship level with your favourite Pokemon checked by a nearby NPC, and maybe even disable your games auto-save feature to play around with some of your available Pokemon evolutions.
