How to find the Exotic Chug Cannon in Fortnite

With Chapter 3 Season 3 – Vibin’ – well underway in Fortnite, this fresh, colorful map has brought with it a whole host of items, some new, and some un vaulted, with the Exotic Chug Cannon being one of the players’ favorite items to return.

The Chug Cannon is a popular choice of healing item amongst solo players and squads alike, with its quick blast, you can heal yourself, others, or multiple players together, and with a cooldown time of 20 seconds, it can save players the effort of trying to find disposable med and shield items.

Let’s take a further look into the Exotic Chug Cannon, and also discover where to find it.

First introduced in Chapter 2, Season 5 – The Zero Point – in December 2020, the Chug Cannon quickly became a popular in-game item. Originally sold by Remedy for 600 gold bars, the Exotic weapon was seen as an upgraded version of the Bandage Bazooka, which, unlike the Chug Cannon, could only heal players’ health bar, and not the shield bar.

The weapon uses a soft aim-bot, meaning accuracy isn’t an issue, and is ideal for those situations where fast healing is necessary, and also to help you survive should you end up trapped in the Storm!

Unlike other items, the Chug Cannon does take up 2 item slots, however, no further items or ammo are required to use it.

What is ‘Slurp’?

Slurp, a blue healing liquid, was mass introduced to the game in Chapter 2 Season 1, which brought with it the first-ever map change of the famous island. Slurpy Swamp was a named location on the new map. The area was surrounded by pools of slurp swamps, and home to the Slurp Juice Factory.

When players entered these swamps, both health and shields would be replenished, with players being able to remain in the swamp for as long as required to fully heal.

Across the island, players were also able to locate slurp barrels to destroy which gave players a 10-point health or shield gain, slurp trucks, enabling players to destroy the truck to release a large gush of slurp to fully restore shields and health, and also slurp splashes, which when used, gave players 20 points towards their health or shield.

Where to find the Exotic Chug Cannon

There are currently 3 known ways to get your hands on the Chug Cannon.

Supply Llamas are one of the easiest, and the only free option, players have available. Located at random spawn locations across the map, players need to shoot or pickaxe a Supply Llama as it tries to run away and escape, in order to reduce its health bar. Once defeated, the Llama will disappear, leaving behind a trail of items such as ammo and shield pots, but also, the Exotic Chug Cannon.

Another option is through nothing but random luck! Malfunctioning vending machines will drop a random item, for a cost of only 100 gold bars. However, this is a complete Gamble, and with all the gold you have, you may still never receive a Chug Cannon, you could end up with 50 green pistols instead, it really is a chance you take!

The third and final option is most certainly the most reliable method.

The NPC, Kyle, currently located in Logjam Lumberyard, is an NPC that gives you the option to directly purchase a Chug Cannon. He roams the warehouses within the Logjam and will sell you the Chug Cannon for 600 gold.

For an item that is available free from a Supply Llama, it is an expensive purchase given other NPCs will sell players items such as the Boom Sniper, which also cost the same amount, but are NPC exclusive items. However the Boom Sniper cant heal your entire team when lost in the storm, so it really is a small price to pay!
