Elden Ring Axe Weapon Guide: List, Stats, Skills, Locations

Weapons are offensive types of equipment that are used to inflict damage against Enemies and Bosses.  

There are a lot of weapon types. In this weapon guide, we are going to talk particularly about Axes. 

Axes are heavy weapons that can be wielded with one hand. They are best used in close combat and provide a wide variety of attacks, including hard to read ones, making them excellent in PvP. 

Below are all the Axes in Elden Ring and all you need to know about them.

Battle Axe 

The Battle Axe is a good weapon for melee users who want to deal considerable damage with each swing. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“A thick, heavy blade attached to a handle. A versatile, standard weapon capable of powerful attacks thanks to the weighty blade, these weapons are also regarded for their powerful charge attacks.”

Celebrant’s Cleaver 

The Celebrant’s Cleaver is a good weapon for users with high Strength and Dexterity stats. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“Cleaver decorated with many-colored fabrics. 

Ceremonial tool used by dancers during the festivities of Dominula, Windmill Village. 

Crafted from human bone. 

Grants trace amounts of runes upon landing attacks.”

Forked Hatchet 

The Forked Hatchet is a good weapon for causing blood loss build up (50). It scales primarily with Dexterity and Strength. 

“Peculiar hatchet wielded by imps.

The gently undulating forked blade is known as an ‘imp’s tongue’ and causes blood loss.”

Weapon Skill Quickstep – an action skill that allows players to reposition themselves in combat to avoid incoming damage and gain a better position to attack the targeted enemy. 
Locations Dropped by Imps, which are mostly found in Catacombs 

Hand Axe 

The Hand Axe is a good weapon for close combat characters, exceling in successive attacks. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“Commonly known as a hatchet, this smaller variety of axe is an everyday work tool. 

Despite its short reach, it is easy to handle, exceling in successive attacks.”

Highland Axe

The Highland Axe is a good weapon for combat when attack boosts are needed. The skill that accompanies this weapon can temporarily increase attack power. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“Single-sided axe used by the warriors of the highlands. 

Brave combatants begin battle by crying out their names. Roars are enhanced by this weapon.”

Weapon Skill War Cry – a temporary attack boost to give players an extra advantage during combat. 
Locations Acquired from a corpse inside the fortress of the Many Armed Key Master. The body can be found resting under a large painting at the center of the room.

Icerind Hatchet 

The Icerind Hatchet is a good weapon for inflicting frost against enemies. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“A hatchet with a frost-coated blade. One of several gifts given by 

Castle Sol in the distant north. 

Known as “freezing fog,” the blade is thought to be a dragon’s 

scale. Inflicts a powerful frost effect.”

Weapon Skill Hoarfrost Stomp – stomp hard to spread a trail of freezing mist on the ground. The mist applies the frost status effect.

Iron Cleaver 

The Iron Cleaver is a good Weapon for aggressive fighters who like to face foes head-on. It scales primarily with Dexterity and Strength. 

“Fairly large iron cleaver, commonly used by the maltreated Misbegotten. 

Steeped in resentment, these weapons are swung wildly and relentlessly, often after rushing up to foes.”

Jawbone Axe

The Jawbone Axe is a good weapon for aggressive characters who like to face enemies head-on. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“Axe made from a herbivore’s skull. Weapon of the ancestral followers who disdain metal. 

This axe is more of a bludgeon; it forgoes a bladed edge, instead using the beast’s molar teeth to buffet foes, dealing strike damage.”

The Ripple Blade is a good weapon for those users with high Arcane stat. It scales primarily with Arcane. 

“Unique weapon wielded by young Albinaurics, this sword is modelled after the ripples that are thought to be the origin of their species. 

Its attack power is greatly enhanced with one’s arcane attribute.”

Rosus’ Axe 

The Rosus’ Axe is a good Weapon for melee players who want to deal considerable damage with each swing. It scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. 

“Usher of Death, Rosus, who shows the path to the catacombs throughout the Lands Between, is depicted on this ritual axe. 

The dead easily lose their way, and have always been in sore need i of a guiding hand.”

Weapon Skill Rosus’s Summons – Raise the axe aloft to summon those lost in death. Three skeletons will appear at a distance and attack in tandem before vanishing.

Sacrificial Axe 

The Sacrificial Axe is a good Weapon for aggressive characters who like to face enemies head-on. Scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“Hatchet used in ancient sacrificial rite. A Deathbird is depicted as a malevolent deity. 

The power of the rite yet lingers. A small amount of FP is restored upon slaying a foe.”

Stormhawk Axe

The Stormhawk Axe is a good weapon for users who want to engage enemies in close combat with slashing attacks. It scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity. 

“Battle axe designed to resemble a hawk, with its wings comprising the blade. Signature weapon of warriors who strive to remain one with the storm, despite being so far from their place of birth. 

Their hearts are proud, and thereby easily undone.”

Weapon Skill Thunderstorm – generates a storm of lightning while the weapon remains with Lightning Damage for a short period of time. 
Locations – looted from Nepheli Loux at the Village of the Albinaurics in Western Liurnia of the Lakes – looted from a corpse in the courtyard with Iron Maidens near Fortified Manor, First Floor at Leyndell, Royal Capital – looted from a corpse on a wooden roof in Castle Sol in the northern part of  Mountaintops of the Giants 

Warped Axe 

The Warped Axe is a good Weapon for melee users who want to deal considerable damage with each swing. It scales primarily with Strength. 

“Oversized double-headed axe with a bizarre, almost melted appearance. 

Brute strength is the only thing required to wield this weapon, which appears to have taken quite the beating itself.”
