Runes are another piece of equipment you can collect while exploring the Hollow Lands. Runes grant you a special ability such as increasing your mobility or seeing all enemies through obstacles within a certain range around you.

Spellbreak Classes

Spellbreak gives you the opportunity to be a mage with one core Class and then a blank slate for another Class to pick up or swap for another on the battle field as you explore the Hollow Lands.

  • Frostborn – Ice Gauntlet
  • Conduit – Lightening Gauntlet
  • Pyromancer – Fire Gauntlet
  • Toxicologist – Toxic Gauntlet
  • Stoneshaper – Stone Gauntlet
  • Tempest – Wind Gauntlet

Each class has 2 attack abilities, aside from a basic attack that uses no mana on use. One attack ability is more basic than the next, offering a simple or repetitive blast of air, earth, ice, fire, electric or poison.

While the other attack ability can be held for better positioning as it is a more environmental attack that causes something such as a wall of fire or strong tornado of wind.

Combing your different abilities will give you a deadly combo against enemies, if played correctly and smart enough.

Spellbreak Talents

Talents are selected directly before a match by selecting the respective button on your platform of choice.

There are 3 different categories of Talents to customize: Mind, Body and Spirit.

Aside from customizing these Talents before a match, collecting scrolls throughout a match will also increase the respective attribute when collected.

You can find Scrolls from eliminating other players that have consumed a specific Talent Scroll earlier in the match.

You can also collect them from chests, which come in different rarities: Small, Medium, Large and Epic Chests can be found around the map.

Even greater than a Chest is a Mana Vault.

Mana Vaults are loaded with the best goodies you can find. Guaranteed to hold at least one Gauntlet of Legendary rarity, two Gauntlets of Epic or Legendary rarity and a random Scroll.

To obtain the contents within a Mana Vault, you will need to activate it and then the Mana Vault will begin to form over 10 seconds and finally the contents can be looted.

Spellbreak Experience

After each match of Spellbreak you gain 3 types of experience:

  • Class Mastery
  • Mage Rank
  • Reputation

Each type of experience is earned from doing different things within a match such as completing quests that give specific experience and certain rewards from leveling up said experience types.

Class Mastery

Class Mastery experience is earned depending on the Accolades you receive in a match from placement, eliminations, reviving a teammate and more.

Mage Rank

Mage Rank experience is earned from completing games and each level will give you at least Gold with an additional reward in the form of badges that are earned at certain milestone ranks.

Reputation

Reputation experience is the overall experience earned in Spellbreak which helps you level up your Chapter Pass, unlocking the best rewards you can get per season such as Outifits, Emotes, Artifacts and other cosmetics.

Consumables

While traveling across the Hollow Lands when you find equipment such as Belts that increase your maximum armor upon pickup, you will also find items that recover the shield gained.
