Pokemon Unite: Sylveon joins the game following mobile launch

Pokemon Unite continues to keep its players engaged with a variety of new content! With the launch of the mobile version of the game, players were introduced to a new battle pass, new held items, and the promise of new Pokemon coming soon to both versions. The latest of those new Pokemon is the Fairy-type Eevee-lution Sylveon.

Sylveon in Pokemon Unite is a Special Attack-based ranged attacker with a pretty interesting spread of moves to oppress their opponents and a cute little smile that’s simply to die for.

The Eevee-lution will begin the game as Eevee, unlike Pokemon such as Lucario (who also requires a high friendship level to evolve) that begins the match as its final evolution, and also unlike other Pokemon in Pokemon Unite, will have its own ability that changes slightly when it evolves.

Eevee’s ability is Adaptability, which increases Eevee’s special attack for 1.5 seconds whenever it receives damage, stacking up to four times.

When it evolves into Sylveon, that ability becomes Pixilate and both Sylveon’s Special Attack & Special Defense are raised when it receives damage for 1.5 seconds, stacking up to six times.

Sylveon’s Moves

At the beginning of the match, Sylveon begins with Swift, which can be upgraded to either Mystical Fire or Hyper Voice, and Baby-Doll Eyes which can become either Draining Kiss or Calm Mind.

Sylveon’s Unite Move is called Fairy Frolic, a move where Sylveon leaps into the air becoming invincible, and when it lands, it deals damage to opposing Pokémon in an area of effect and restores its own HP.

For a short time afterward, a set percentage of damage dealt by the user is converted into HP for the user.
