Pokemon Scarlet and Violet new trailer, release date revealed

Following yesterday’s announcement, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet just received a new trailer showcasing more of the officially named region of X. And of course, we got to see firsthand some of the new Pokémon and trainers we’ll meet during our travel in this Spain-inspired area, alongside with the game’s release date

During its first trailer, Nintendo revealed that the next main series games will be similar to how Pokémon Legends: Arceus, where you meet wild Pokémon directly in the open world. We were also introduced to the three new starters Quaxly, Fuecoco and the fan-favorite Sprigatito.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet new trailer information

The trailer gives us a first glance at some of the new region features. The cities have some curious elements such as what seems to be gas station-themed Pokecenters, combined with victorian-like constructions in the main areas, besides the open world, of course.

We are introduced to the two new professors, Professor Sada and Professor Turo, each one of them exclusive to their version (Scarlet and Violet respectively), who grants us and our rivals (which seem to be three this time) a starter Pokémon each.

The trailer shows the player with either one of the three previously revealed starters but doesn’t tell us anything about their evolutions. Will Sprigatito still be on all fours?

According to the official site, the open-world exploration will allow for multiplayer gameplay with up to four players, where you can explore this new region together, battle each other or simply catch and trade new Pokémon.

Speaking of new Pokémon, the trailer revealed five new Pokémon: Pawmi, Lechonk and Smoliv, all of them being used by Nemona, a friend who battles you at the beginning of the trailer.

The other two revealed Pokémon were the Legendary duo of this new generation, Koraidon and Miraidon, which will be exclusive for Scarlet and Violet, respectively.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is set to be released on November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. New trailers and information should be revealed with time.
