Pokemon Legends Arceus: How to beat Frenzied Noble Pokemon

Game Freak’s new Pokemon game is going to throw something a little different at us when it comes to battling Pokemon in the wild. Of course, they will be lurking in the tall grass – but, there’s something more out there… If you come across a Frenzied Noble Pokemon, you’re in for a tough battle. Here’s everything you need to know about them and then how you can beat them.
What is a Frenzied Noble Pokemon?
In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Frenzied Noble Pokemon aren’t going to be your friends – at first. Noble Pokemon are some of the biggest and strongest Pokemon in the Hisui Region and when they become Frenzied, their powers only increase. Here’s what the official Pokemon Legends Arceus website has had to say…
” A strange phenomenon is causing nobles to suddenly fly into a frenzy, making them incredibly difficult to rein in. As part of the Survey Corps, you will be called upon to quell the frenzies of the nobles.”
From what we can tell, these Frenzied Noble Pokemon are going to be an important part of keeping the Hisui Region safe. The Survey Corps is going to force you to “quell the frenzies” and it looks like these are going to be some of the toughest fights you’ll face – against Pokemon in the wild, at least.

You don’t need to worry about your own Pokemon, though… Taking these down isn’t going to be a traditional Pokemon battle.
How to beat a Frenzied Noble Pokemon
If you want to take down a Frenzied Noble Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus, you’re going to need to calm it down with Balms.
” The bodies of frenzied Pokémon grow in size and shine brightly. Simply defeating these Pokémon in a Pokémon battle will not calm them. To quell them, you will have to hit them with balms made using these noble Pokémon’s favorite foods.“
Balms are craftable, or buyable, items in the Hisui Region that can calm down the Frenzied Noble Pokemon by using their favourite foods. This Monster Hunter-esque addition to the Pokemon series is going to make research and strategic planning more important than ever before. You can’t battle with brute force anymore.

You’ll need to keep on your toes, though, and be patient. These Pokemon are going to wildly throw attacks out at you and you’ll need to avoid their attacks and wait for the opportune moment to strike. With any luck, there won’t be anything too drastic when it comes to negative effects you get hit – however, we just don’t know for sure yet.
” It won’t be easy to hit a rampaging noble with balms. They will relentlessly unleash powerful attacks at you. The moment you see an opportunity, hit them with as many balms as you can. Just like with throwing a Poké Ball, aim carefully.”
