Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour: How to catch Shiny Grimer

Pokemon Go holds spotlight hours on a regular weekly basis and the upcoming one is an excellent chance to potentially catch yourself a Shiny Grimer.

Even if you’re not that interested in hunting for a Shiny Grimer in Pokemon Go, the event comes with a great bonus that’ll help you stock up on Stardust, so be sure to attend either way!

When is the spotlight hour?

The spotlight hour for Grimer will be taking place on April 20th, starting at 6 PM and ending an hour later – as usual, this is in local time.

For those unfamiliar, local time means that regardless of your timezone it’ll be accurate to the time where you live.

What can we expect?

Like other spotlight hours, the event itself will be quite simple. You’ll be seeing a hell of a lot of Grimer for one hour, that’s the event.

These hours are great if you want the specific Pokemon mentioned for any reason, such as needing candy for the evolution or just pursuing the Shiny form or a high stat version of it.

These hours also typically offer an additional bonus – in this case, the event gives doubled capture Stardust for the duration.

Does the event have anything else?

Outside of the doubled catch Stardust – which is an amazing bonus, by the way, and the chance to catch a lot of Grimer, no, not really.

Spotlight hours are fairly basic events, they’re not that complicated and there really isn’t that much going on in them.
