Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour: Finneon 2021

|
The Pokemon Finneon in the anime

Pokemon Go holds spotlight hours on a regular weekly basis and the upcoming one is an excellent chance to potentially catch plenty of Finneon.

Even if you’re not that interested in collecting Finneon in Pokemon Go, the event comes with a great bonus that’ll give you a solid boost of experience if you catch plenty of Finneon during the event!

When is the spotlight hour?

The spotlight hour for Finneon will be taking place on April 27th, starting at 6 PM and ending an hour later – as usual, this is in local time.

For those unfamiliar, local time means that regardless of your timezone it’ll be accurate to the time where you live.

We keep track of all the upcoming Spotlight hours in Pokemon Go for the current month at this page below right here on The Click, so feel free to look into those as well.

What can we expect?

Like other spotlight hours, the event itself will be quite simple. You’ll be seeing a hell of a lot of Finneon for one hour, that’s the event.

These hours are great if you want the specific Pokemon mentioned for any reason, such as if you’re a big fan hoping to get a large collection of them or just want to stock up on candy for powering them up and evolving them.

These hours also typically offer an additional bonus – in this case, the event gives doubled capture experience for the duration.

Does the event have anything else?

Outside of the doubled catch experience – which is a pretty nice bonus, by the way, and the chance to catch a lot of Finneon, no, not really.

Spotlight hours are fairly basic events, they’re not that complicated and there really isn’t that much going on in them.

Unfortunately unlike recent Spotlight events, Finneon will not have their Shiny variants available during this event, so those seeking shinies won’t have any luck this time.

For an explanation about how Shiny Pokemon work, please visit the article below. In short, they have to be “enabled” in the game for them to appear at all, and Finneon currently is believed to be disabled.
