Pokemon Go Raid Hours: How to get Therian Landorus

Therian Forme Landorus backgroundless

Therian Forme Landorus is next to be added into Pokemon Go, and as such we can expect to be seeing him in raid hours soon.

If you’ve been looking for more Landorus specifically, or just want to complete a Therian collection, these events will be helpful to you.

When are the raid hours taking place?

Pokemon Go’s raid hours are fixed events that occur on a weekly basis – only the raid target changes – and this time it’ll be changing to Therian Landorus.

Typically we’d expect featured raids to be here for only a week and thus only one raid hour, but the Therian trio have been getting special treatment with 2 weeks each and thus two raid hours for each of them.

The first raid hour will take place on the 14th of April at 6:00 PM local time and will last until 7:00 PM as the name suggests.

The second raid hour is exactly one week later, on the 21st of April at 6:00 PM local time again, lasting another hour in length.

What type will be effective for fighting him?

Like Thundurus before him, Landorus’s typing has the annoying effect of giving him a fairly limited set of weaknesses to target – though, unlike Thundurus, Landorus has the good manners to at least give us a double-type weakness to target.

Super-effective types to prioritise using:

Ice should be used if available, no question about it. Any strong Pokemon you have with a set of purely ice moves will deal out huge damage here – make sure to make good use of them.

  • Water

Resisted types to avoid using:

Ground is to be avoided as much as possible here, as it deals only 39% of it’s normal damage – while even other resisted types such as Bug manage to deal 62.5% damage.

  • Bug
  • Electric
  • Fighting
  • Poison

Is Shiny Therian Landorus available during these raids?

Like the other Therian formes, the shiny variant of Therian Landorus should not be making a public appearance alongside his normal version.

Most likely it is being reserved for a future release alongside the other Therian shinies – regardless, the Shiny is locatable in the game files, so we can show you how it looks at least.

That doesn’t help us knowing when we’ll be able to get it for ourselves, but we’ll all just have to wait on that one.

Does this event have anything else?

Raid hours are quite a simple deal, just lots of the featured raid appearing all over the globe during the specified time locally, giving people who partake in remote raids plenty of chances to capture the raid boss.

If you’re a bit short on people to invite you to remote raids, consider using a service such as the Pokemon Go Friends Subreddit.

Additionally, the same service can be used to find people to invite to raids you are hosting.

That’s about everything you need to know regarding the upcoming Therian Landorus Raid hours – Good luck out there Trainers!
