What can we expect?

Like all spotlight hours, the event itself is simple. You get one Pokemon, spawning all over the world for one hour. You even get a bonus thrown in, in this case, that’d be the transfer candy bonus.

These events are great if you like the featured Pokemon, in this case being Dratini – or if you need whatever the bonus gives you, which in this case means more candy for anything you transfer.

As Dratini is a fairly rare Pokemon in most cases, this is probably likely to be one of the more popular spotlight hour events – particularly when you know that Shiny Dratini is available.

Can I get Shiny Dratini in Pokemon Go?

Dratini is currently Shiny enabled in general, so yes it will be available during the spotlight hour. Make sure to capture plenty of Dratini if you want to find one though, Shiny chance isn’t hugely generous.

On the upside, that transfer bonus will make it so that you can cash out any spare Dratini you don’t want to build up for a Dragonite or two while you’re looking for those Shiny ones.
