Pokemon BDSP: How to change Outfits

The ability to change your Trainer’s appearance and outfits in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl is another modern feature that you wouldn’t have seen in the Sinnoh region before. This feature was first introduced in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y and seemingly perfected by Pokemon Shield and Pokemon Sword. You’re not going to find as many customisation options in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but this is certainly more than we had in the original release of the Generation 4 Pokemon games.

How to change your Outfit in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

If you want to change your outfit, you’re going to need to head to Veilstone City. This is the location where you take on Maylene, the third Gym Leader, and you should stumble across this location while playing naturally.

When you get there, you should look for the Metronome Style Shop – this is going to be in the same area as the Veilstone Game Corner was in the original releases. It should work like any other Boutique, somewhere where you can purchase new outfits and equip them. When you head inside and get to the person working inside, you’ll be met with two options – shop or change.

Outfits don’t come cheap in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, so don’t go on a spending spree if you’re in need of some Pokeballs and Potions! There are currently around ten Outfits to choose from, but they’re all set styles so you can’t mix-and-match the items you pick up from one Outfit with another.
