Pokemon BDSP Evolution Guide: Where to Get Leaf Stone

It’s time to tackle the Elite Four, Trainers! Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl have just dropped and we can’t wait to jump back into the Sinnoh Region. Pokemon’s fourth-generation stories are a nostalgia trip, but there’s a lot of new stuff in there too! If you’re looking to tackle some of the rarer Pokemon evolutions, you might need to get your hands on a Leaf Stone. Here’s how you can get one and everything you need to know.

Where to Get the Leaf Stone Evolution Item

You can find a Leaf Stone inside a Poke Ball pick-up in the Floaroma Meadow of the Sinnoh Region. If you follow our Fire Stone Evolution Guide to the Fuego Ironworks, you will stumble across the Leaf Stone Poke Ball in the Floaroma Meadows just to the south of the entrance of the Fuego Ironworks.

There are also a couple of these hidden in the grass to the south of a house on Route 225 and in the mud towards the centre of the Great Marsh – however, the Leaf Stone near the Fuego Ironworks is by far the easiest one to pick up.

Leaf Stone Evolution Uses

At the moment, in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, you can use this item to access the following Pokemon evolutions:

  • Vileplume
    • From Gloom;
  • Victreebel
    • From Weepinbell;
  • Exeggutor
    • From Exeggcute;
  • Shrifty
    • From Nuzleaf;

Alternatively, you can excavate all the Evolution Stones in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl from the Grand Underground – following the conclusion of the main portion of the game. You can access the Grand Underground by speaking to the Underground Man in the house next to the Pokemon Center in Eterna City and getting the Explorer’s Kit.
