Anyone who plays Pokemon Go will be familiar with Professor Willow’s latest research ‘Let’s Go’, in which he went AFK for what felt like forever. He told us he would return with the rest of the research… now he finally has! And wow is it spectacular and definitely worth the wait, as this is the only way at present to be able to earn the Master Ball.

Pokemon Go Master Ball – What is it and how does it work?
The Master Ball in Pokemon is unlike any other Ball. This legendary ball has a 100% catch rate, meaning that whatever you throw the ball toward, you are guaranteed to catch. Now without question, someone is bound to use it for a Pidgey – but we would recommend saving it for something really special!
Pokemon Go Master Ball – How do we get one?
To obtain a Master Ball, players need to work through Stage 5 of the Professor Willow Research – Let’s go!
Upon completion, the new item will be available in your item bag.
As it’s a new item, at present, this is the only time you will be able to get one, however we are sure as time goes on, more opportunities to bag a Master Ball will become available.
Stage 5 of the Let’s Go research comprises the following tasks:
- Catch 25 Pokemon (2500 Stardust)
- Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket grunts (3 Hyper Potions)
- Make 5 excellent throws (Galarian Farfetch’d encounter)
- Evolve 5 Pokemon (2500 Stardust)
- Battle in a gym 3 times (5 Revives)
Rewards:Â Master Ball, 1000 Stardust, 1000 XP
