New RPGs coming in June: Get ready to Grind!

In the coming months, we can look forward to a few different titles as we move from the spring to the summer and devs are hoping to find good reasons to keep us inside playing video games instead of out in the hot summer sun. We already have our eyes on a few titles coming out later this summer, so let us help you decide which ones you may want to consider putting your summer-time (and money) into. Here are some RPGs coming out in June.

Dungeons and Dragons Dark Alliance

Set during the events of Crystal Shards, the first of the Icewind Dale trilogy of the popular R.A. Salvatore Legend of Drizzt novels, Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance is an action RPG brawler developed by Tuque Games.

D&D Dark Alliance blends a few different gameplay elements that together craft what appears to be a fun and engaging co-op RPG brawler that appeals to a much broader audience than fans of the source material alone. Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance is set to release June 22nd.

Scarlet Nexus

A new Bandai-Namco property looking to make a splash this year is the action RPG Scarlet Nexus. With fast-paced and fluid combos as well as some interesting mechanics (including the ability to acquire the unique combat abilities of allies for your protagonist) Scarlet Nexus certainly has the means to set itself apart from more established action RPGs like DMC.

This games smooth and stylish gameplay are sure to make an impression on people when it releases June 25th.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

Disgaea is a popular and long-running series of turn-based RPGs known for their over-the-top attacks, quirky classes, and distinct artistic style, and Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny looks to continue that legacy. While this game was technically already released in Japan back in January, Disgaea 6 is releasing internationally on Nintendo Switch on June 29th.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights

While some may argue that we have enough Metroidvania-style games, the guys over at Adglobe and LiveWire beg to differ. Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a dark, 2D action RPG blending elements of typical Metroidvania and Soulsborne-style games to make something unique.

In Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knight’s main character, Lily must use the power of the spectral Immortal Knights to unravel the mystery of her fallen kingdom and the mysterious rain that’s left her people in ruin.

This game has been in early access on Steam for some time to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Players will be able to explore this game’s haunting locations in all of their glory when this title releases on June 22nd.

Summer might be hot but these games look hotter if you ask me. Keep an eye out for when they release these RPGs in June.
