New Jurassic Park horror game reportedly in the works

It’s worth taking this one with a pinch of salt, but a new Jurassic Park horror game could be on the way from Creative Assembly and SEGA – they’re the people that put together 2014’s Alien Isolation. Here’s everything we know so far – even though that might not be too much – and when we could hear more about it.

What we know about this Jurassic Park horror game

Earlier, details regarding a new Jurassic Park horror game from Creative Assembly were uploaded to 4Chan – which is always a great start, we know – and they sound insane.

From the leak, we are being told that the upcoming Jurassic Park horror game will be called “Lost World: Jurassic Park” and that it’ll be a next-gen only title. This doesn’t sound too unbelievable when you consider the fact that this sort of game would do very well.

It’s said to be a first-person stealth horror game that takes place on a semi-open map of Isla Nublar – that’s the “main island” that features during Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, but not Jurassic Park 2 which shares the name with the supposed Jurassic Park horror game.

In this rumoured title, you’ll be playing as a “gun for hire” trying to survive on Isla Nublar while Velociraptors and other dinosaurs chase you around. It’s going to be pretty gory too, according to the leak and this could prove pivotal in its success – should it even be real.

Alien Isolation might have been overlooked a little at launch due to its technical issues, but it remains a cult classic and one of the best Survival Horror games out there. If anyone can adapt Jurassic Park and create a game worth talking about, it’s Creative Assembly and the team behind this.

It sounds like this title could build on the existing Jurassic Park narrative without actually harming the story being told through the films – given the fact that we focus on Isla Sorna in 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park and 2001’s Jurassic Park 3.
