Does Biomutant feature competitive multiplayer or co-op?

Biomutant is a brand new IP from Experiment 101 and THQ Nordic. In the game, players take control of a raccoon as they embark on a Kung-Fu themed open-world adventure, which features many RPG elements including a Light and Dark side system similar to Knights Of The Old Republic.

But, does Biomutant feature multiplayer or a co-op mode?

Unfortunately, Biomutant is only a single player experience, featuring no multiplayer or co-op option.

While RPG’s are generally single player experiences, both local or online co-op could have worked really well in the game.

But, Experiment 101 opted to make it single player and there has been no news from the developers regarding a co-op mode, but that’s not to say it will never be implemented, but I wouldn’t be holding out for it.

Release Date & Platforms

Biomutant launches worldwide on Tuesday, May 25th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game can be played on the next-gen consoles using backwards compatibility, but no native PS5 version is available at launch.

The Xbox Series X will play the game at native 4K 60fps, while the PS5 will utilize upscaled 4K at 60fps, this may change once the native port is released at a later date.
