The best Halo Infinite mods to install right now

The Halo Infinite campaign may have only been released a few weeks ago but fans of the game are already hard at work to create mods for 343 Industries’ latest entry in the Halo franchise.

Due to the game being fairly new the list of mods is quite small at the time of writing this and we expect many more to be created over the coming months, so we will try and come back and update this on a regular basis.

But, we have found the best Halo Infinite mods that you should install right now.

It is worth noting that these will 100% work on the Steam version, but due to Microsoft locking their files for games installed via Game Pass and the Windows 10 Store these may not work on that version.

Skip Startup Intro

Intro movies before you get to the main menu are often long and cumbersome to sit through time and time again, especially when they can’t be skipped.

The 343 Industries loading screen takes approximately 20 seconds to complete and can’t be skipped…without mods.

This simple mod will remove the loading screen and make it just one frame long.

Halo 3 Loading Screen

If you don’t mind loading screens but want some nostalgia then these next few entries are ones that you must check out.

This first one replaces the Halo Infinite loading screen with the classic Halo 3 loading screen from all the way back in 2007.

Halo 2 Loading Screen

If you want to go even further back in time then you can replace the loading screen with the classic Halo 2 loading screen.

Halo 2 Intro Music Replacement

When you turned on Halo 2 for the first time I guarantee you were blown away by the new rendition of the Halo theme music performed by Steve Vai.

This mod brings that song back and is a perfect pairing to the Halo 2 loading screen mod above, although you could use it with any loading screen.

Halo Reach Intro And Music

This mod replaces the intro loading screen with a better one which also includes the iconic Halo Reach music, with both of them pairing together really nicely.

Campaign Intro Upscaled

Despite many games now being able to run at up to 4K resolution, many cutscenes still render in a lower resolution, likely to keep the install size down as having a bunch of 4K videos will greatly increase the size of the game.

This mod upscales the campaign intro movie to 4K/60FPS, which is perfect for the gamers that want their games to look the best.

Pure Clarity Reshade

Now it is time to look at some reshade mods, which often enhance the colors in the game to give a more realistic look, remove any filters among other things.

This first one looks to enhance the overall visual quality of the game with a much more realistic approach.

Reach Realism Reshade

If you think the glory days of the series were when Halo Reach was released, then you can make this game look like it was created back in 2010.

The Halo Reach realism reshade will make the game look and feel more like Halo Reach, opting for a more grey color palette.

We’re not particularly fond of this reshade when compared to others on this list, but if this is your favorite Halo game then this might be the hit of nostalgia that you’re looking for.

Halo Infinite Cinematic Reshade

Finally, we have the cinematic reshade, which will make the entire game feel like a movie. This mod really enhances the lighting, especially from the sun, creating lots of glare to give that cutscene feel.
