Halo MCC CE: Where is the Terminal in Silent Cartographer?

The fourth terminal of Halo MCC CE can be found on the fourth mission, the Silent Cartographer, and here’s where exactly.

This Terminal makes for the first real exception encountered so far in the Halo MCC CE campaign as well, as while its not exactly hidden its colour does allow it to blend in somewhat with its surroundings, so you might not notice it quite as easily as normal – and perhaps even walk right by it.

Where is the Terminal in the Silent Cartographer mission of MCC Halo CE?

The Terminal for the fourth mission of Halo MCC CE, Silent Cartographer can be found near the encounter with the first two Hunters of the level. You’ll need to clear your way to this point first, which fortunately isn’t a particularly long trip.

Of course, when you reach these Hunters, they’ll be the obstacle in your way of claiming the Terminal of the mission easily, so they’ll need to be dealt with.

There’s a pretty useful trick that most Halo CE players are familiar with though – although it barely qualifies as a trick, really – that can help with these two hunters if you usually struggle with them.

A single shot from the Magnum (pistol) into the orange flesh of their back will down them instantly, regardless of difficulty. Stock up on Magnum ammo first and then just jump over their melee attacks and plant a shot in their back to finish them up easily.

With the hunters now out of the way, nothing stands between you and the terminal – as long as you can manage to see it.

Its the slight orange glow near my reticle shown below, so you can easily see how it blends in a bit with its surroundings. Just run up and interact for the achievement – if you don’t spot the glow in your game, give it a moment, as the light fades in and out.

Is there anything else?

That’s everything for the Silent Cartographer terminal – bit of an unusual one as its in an even more visible location than usual and somehow manages to blend in better than the rest of the Terminals typically manage to do.

In any case, that’s about everything for this short guide. We’ve got more Halo content available for you if you’re interested, and if you’d like to try reading more of what I’ve written, my content is available on my author page.
