Halo 4 Spartan Ops campaigns were a bit controversial but if you’re looking to play them again here’s how you can start Spartan Ops.

Where are the Spartan Ops Campaigns for Halo 4 in MCC?

You can start the Spartan Ops campaigns for Halo 4 from the Firefight Menu on the Halo MCC main screen. This is one of the more bizarre menu choices in Halo MCC, because these were intended to be a separate but additional campaign that is played alongside Halo 4.

Or at least, that’s how they were advertised at the time. It’s entirely possible 343i recognized they weren’t really that well received and pushed them under the firefight submenu instead. There is a significant resemblance between the two modes given that Spartan Ops throws enemies at you of a hundred or more in a short mission.

Regardless of if you like them or not though, Halo 4 and the Spartan Ops campaigns are needed for a number of MCC achievements, so you’ll probably want to know how to access them sooner or later.

If you can’t find it via our simple instructions above, just follow the highlighted menu options in these two images. This way, even if you’re using a different game language, it should be pretty easy to find the correct menu options to navigate into the Halo 4 Spartan Ops mission selection screen.

There are ten mini-campaigns to Spartan Ops in total, each consisting of five roughly ten to thirty-minute long missions. Having played through them recently, I’m not quite sure that I’d say it’s an experience worth having, but if you’re looking to 100% the Master Chief Collection, you just might have to either way.

Speaking of which, if you’re going to start playing Spartan Ops, you might want to customize your loadouts for it to make things a bit easier.
