In November 2020 we saw the release of the next-generations of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as the launch of the latest GPUs, the Nvidia RTX 30 series and AMD’s RX 6000 series.

These releases saw a vast improvement in visual and performance quality, really furthering the gap with the last-gen systems.

Both next-gen consoles, and the new PC GPUs, offer Ray Tracing technology, as well as DLSS, which improve visuals while maintaining, and even improving, performance.

The current rumoured release date of GTA 6 being in late 2023, but it is possible that the game will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X first, much like how the previous two entries launched on PS3/Xbox 360 first before coming to PC.

If Rockstar follow the seems trend then we may not see GTA 6 on PC until 2024 or even 2025. However, GTA 5 remains one of the top games on Steam, showing there is a big market for the game on PC, which might convince them to release the game on PC alongside console.
