GTA Online: How To Start Cayo Perico Heist

GTA Online’s latest major update is all about the Cayo Perico Heist and here’s how to start it. There’s a lot of great stuff to do and rewards to be won, so get ready for one hell of a ride.

Below, we’ve got a complete rundown of every step you need to take prior to starting the Cayo Perico Heist. Be warned though, it’s a bit of an expensive one!

How To Start Cayo Perico Heist

Firstly, you’ll need to meet Miguel Madrazo.

You can find him in the basement of the Diamond Casino. This is on the corner of Vinewood Park Drive and Vinewood Boulevard in East Vinewood. You can’t miss it!

Next up, once you’ve had your little conversation… You’ll need to “acquire” some of the equipment you’ll need.

The Kosatka Submarine can be bought for $2.2 million on the Warstock’s Cache and Carry website. This’ll act as your base of operations during the Cayo Perico Heist and is vital to starting it.

There are a few upgrades available too, if you have the cash. Sonar, Weapons Workshops, and other improvements can help you customise the Kosatka Submarine but they’re not vital.

Once you purchase this, it should appear on the map with it’s own icon.

If not, you can press the M key to open the Interaction Menu and head to the Services tab to “summon” it.

You’ll need to head to the nearest bit of seafront and select the Submarine/ Kostaka option to request it.

Once you head to this location, you can then start the Cayo Perico Heist and it’ll be straightforward from there!

It’s time to raise the stakes higher than ever before. You’ve broken a convicted spy out of Bolingbroke Penitentiary. You’ve saved the world from an egomaniacal tech billionaire. And you’ve beaten the odds to drain a casino of its cash. This time, you’re taking on an entire island.

If you want to start the Cayo Perico Heist on GTA Online, you’re going to need a bit of money but it’ll be well worth the rewards. This is the first GTA Online and GTA V expansion to add a new playable area to the map.
