GTA 5 invincibility cheat code: How to use God mode and become invincible
Cheat codes and GTA seem to go hand in hand, with them being an incredibly popular part of the earlier games, such as GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, and fans of the series will be happy to know that they can be used in GTA 5 too.
Back in the day, players would often fill the blank pages in the game’s manuals with cheat code combinations, Rockstar Games could have really saved us all a lot of time by just printing them in there themselves.
One of the most popular cheat codes is Invincibility, which allows the player to not take any damage in the game, and the God mode cheat code is once again available in GTA 5.
However, it is worth noting that entering any cheat codes will prevent achievements and trophies from unlocking. So if you’re bothered about that, simply save the game and restart the game before unlocking an achievement, such as when you’re 49/50 when hunting for collectibles, and then perform the action that unlocks the achievement.
Here is the cheat code to activate the Invincibility in GTA 5 to enable God mode.
- PC: PAINKILLER
- Xbox 360/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S: Right, A, Right, Left, Right, RB, Right, Left, A, Y
- PS3/PS4/PS5: Right, X, Right, Left, Right, R1, Right, Left, X, Triangle
- Cell Phone: 1-999-724-654-5537 (1-999-PAINKILLER)
There are numerous ways to enter cheat codes in GTA 5, both by inputting the combinations and by using the game’s Cell Phone and dialing the number, this is done by pressing Up on your controller’s D-Pad or by pressing the Up arrow key on your keyboard.
If on console or using a controller, you just need to enter the cheat code combination above and the cheat will activate.

However, if you’re using a keyboard, you need to press the ` key, this is found just below the Esc (Escape) key.
This will open the console command menu and you then type the code in, with the invincibility cheat being PAINKILLER.
