Genshin Impact: Which boss do you need to farm Dehya materials?
The 5-star Pyro character Dehya is here! While she currently doesn’t have a huge fanbase regarding utility and damage output, we’re pretty sure you love Genshin Impact‘s “Flame-Mane.” And if you don’t, you probably will soon enough.
Well, who doesn’t love a highly-skilled mercenary who has a heart of gold? Not to mention that she looks pretty cool too! So, whether you got Dehya by pity building (you do this?) or you actually planned to pull for her, it’s time to ascend her and ask the question: Which boss do you need to farm Dehya materials?
All characters in Genshin Impact need boss-dropped ascension materials in order to get stronger, and the already-skilled mercenary is no exception. Among the many bosses in the game, Dehya’s boss-dropped ascension material comes from the Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network.

Where is the Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network?
We know! The name of this boss is quite a mouthful. So, let’s call it A-SIMON or SIMON for short, as some Genshin Impact players call it. Right, that’s the abbreviation of its incredibly long name.
Dehya needs SIMON’s drop called Light Guiding Tetrahedron for ascension. As for its location, SIMON can be found in Hypostyle Desert, Sumeru, specifically in a subarea called Dune of Elusion. This location makes sense, as SIMON is also called the Tomb Guard of the Desert King. You can check out the images below to locate SIMON.
If you have already explored the Sumeru desert, the easiest way to reach SIMON’s location and get some Dehya materials is via the Teleport Waypoint just outside the boss’s lair. Do note, however, that this Normal Boss seems invisible at a glance, so you must get closer to the center of the arena in order for it to reveal itself.
How to beat SIMON and obtain Dehya materials?
While saying “Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network” will make you sound like Fischl, farming the necessary Dehya materials from it is not as difficult. Like most Normal Bosses in Genshin Impact, SIMON is relatively easy to defeat unless your characters are under-leveled for your current World Level.
SIMON is essentially similar to the primal construct enemies that you can find in the deserts of Sumeru. As such, this boss will highlight certain areas before bombarding you with attacks. These areas are easy to detect, so dodging them and eventually getting some Dehya materials won’t be a problem. However, if you have a reliable shielder or healer, tanking SIMON’s attacks isn’t difficult to pull off.

SIMON will also summon small components and conceal itself at some point during the fight. At this time, it is best to focus on destroying at least one component as soon as possible to force the boss into a recovery state, making it vulnerable to more attacks. Note that Electro attacks and Catalyze Reactions work well against this boss.
Once SIMON is in its vulnerable state, you can go all out with your attacks. Now, you can beat the boss and obtain some Dehya materials at the Cost of Original Resin x40.
