Genshin Impact: Where is the Dendro Hypostasis?

Nahida and the Dendro Hypostasis in Genshin Impact 3.2

If you’ve rolled Nahida in Genshin Impact version 3.2, you’ll now need Quelled Creepers to ascend her – which means you’ll want to know where is the Dendro Hypostasis?

The Dendro Hypostasis is located within the southern desert, added to the Sumeru region back in version 3.1 – it can be found south of Dar Al-Shifa on the map. This world boss is used for the materials to ascend Nahida, the newly released Dendro Archon.

If you haven’t unlocked the desert region yet, you might need to progress through the Sumeru regional story and archon quests until the area opens up for you – you’ll want to catch up with that content anyway if you want to enjoy all of the new things added in 3.2, as Genshin has added yet another Archon quest with ‘Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises’.

The Dendro Hypostasis can be found on the world map below Dal al-Shifa, an area in the Sumeru desert region to the south. Don’t run straight to it’s map marker though, as the boss is located underground.

To find the Dendro Hypostasis, the fastest way is to head to the nearest available teleport point. It’s close by, but it’s on the wrong elevation. From here, you’ll want to drop off the nearby edge and seek out the cave entrance located almost directly below the teleport beacon.

This cave is the Dendro Hypostasis location. Simply head into the entrance below the teleport beacon and you’ll find it difficult to miss the boss – the cave is quite small, and much the area that holds the Hydro Hypostasis, seems to exist only to contain the boss, with nothing else located inside.

Much like other Hypostasis bosses, it isn’t terribly difficult to defeat if you’re not under levelled.

If you’re preparing to fight the boss for the first time, make sure to bring along a Dendro character, as one is required to be able to finish the Dendro Hypostasis off – it will continuously revive if you do not have one. They won’t need to do any damage, but you do need the ability to use Dendro on demand.
