Genshin Impact “Trails in Tianqiu” Guide: How to “reach the top of the tower and collect the Light Actuator component”

Trails in Tianqiu is a World Quest in Genshin Impact that takes place in Liyue. Like most quests in the game, this one will have you solve puzzles and complete time-trial challenges.

One such challenge is for you to reach the top floor of the West Tower in the ruins of Tianqiu Valley within 60 seconds. However, it’s impossible for you to climb the tower as you normally do in Genshin Impact‘s open world because of the platforms and ledges that block your way to the top.

Well, it’s actually not that hard! And even if you’re a F2P player, there’s no problem at all. If you’re wondering how you can get to the top floor and grab the Light Actuator, we’ll walk you through this article.

Note that we have made this guide as detailed as possible, and it might be difficult to reach the top in time while also reading the steps. Therefore, we suggest that you practice the steps before starting the challenge.

Steps to reach the top floor of the West Tower

To reach the top floor of the West Tower, we highly recommend that you use the Geo Traveler. If you’re new to the game, you can have the Traveler use the Geo element by interacting with any Statue of the Seven in Liyue and choose to “resonate with Geo.”

Now that you have the Geo Traveler, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Use the Geo Traveler’s Elemental Skill to place a Geo Construct near the lowest platform. We recommend that you do this before activating the challenge to save a couple of seconds.

Step 2: Start the challenge and climb over the Geo Construct to reach the lowest platform (Platform 1).

Step 3: While on the platform, place another Geo Construct on Platform 1.

Step 4: Climb over the new Geo Construct and jump toward the ledge near you.

Step 5: Head over to the next platform (Platform 2).

Step 6: Place a Geo Construct on Platform 2.

Step 7: Climb over the new Geo Construct and jump toward the next platform (Platform 3).

Step 8: Place a Geo Construct on Platform 3.

Step 9: Climb over the new Geo Construct and jump toward the next platform (Platform 4).

Step 10: Jump toward the ledge near you to reach the top floor of the West Tower.

Step 11: Collect the Light Actuator before the time runs out!

While you may try other ways to reach the top, these steps will definitely help you complete the challenge. It might sound overwhelming, but it’s pretty easy when you actually do it. We hope that you get the Light Actuator and complete the Trails in Tianqiu quest!
