With the imminent arrival of the 3.0 version of Genshin Impact, players are ever more curious about the Sumeru banners order. Leaks on future characters such as Dehya, Cyno, Candace and Scaramouche are always received with arms wide open by the community since everyone wants at least one of them.

And alongside the new characters, we often see older ones returning to banners, especially since Hoyoverse adopted the double banner system. So even if you miss any of them, there will be plenty of other chances to get them in the future.

In this article, we’ll talk about the current leaks and information regarding a possible Sumeru banners order, as well as speculating when and which of the older characters could be receiving reruns. It’s never too late for another Childe rerun, right? No, seriously, it’s time for him to come back.

Possible Sumeru banners order

Save Your Primos has recently shared a compilation for the upcoming new characters releasing dates up until version 3.3. This list is based on previous leaks and information obtained from various sources, all credited in the original post.

3.0 is omitted as we already know the content of the patch thanks to Hoyoverse themselves. Tighnari will be the first 5-star Sumeru character and will be also permanently added to the Standard Banner from 3.1 onwards, along with Collei and Dori.

Cyno, the first Sumeru character ever teased would be featured as a limited character in the very first Sumeru expansion in 3.1, right next to the dancer Nilou. Candace will also be a new 4-star from the region. The girl recently had her model and appearance revealed despite not being featured in any official media yet.

3.2 is scheduled as the arrival of Nahida, also known as Kusanali, the Dendro Archon. This would make the mysterious girl the first Archon to be made playable in a x.2 version instead of x.1 (or x.0 in Venti’s case). Layla would also be made playable here, and we should get more info on her soon.

Scaramouche would finally become playable in the 3.3 version, alongside a new 4-star called Faruzan. Recently, a supposed model for the Scaramouche boss battle has appeared, but no leakers could confirm its veracity to this point. If it ends up being real, it looks somewhat detailed, but is still in earlier development stages.

Characters such as Alhaitam, Dehya and Mika are not expected to debut for now, and should appear from version 3.4 onwards according to some leakers.

But even if this Sumeru banners order is correct, there’s still room for some reruns. So which characters would fit the spots the best?

Possible rerun characters

A recent post on Reddit by u/ten_wishes compiled the number of days since a limited 5-star has been available in a banner. It has some interesting data, and it serves as a way to speculate which ones will come back first.

Despite all of the Childe rerun memes, he’s actually due to receiving another one. It’s been a long time since 2.2 when he was last available, so it’s fair for the Fatui Harbinger to be back in action this time around. During this version’s event, he was on the hunt for Scaramouche, so his rerun could be next to the Wanderer’s own banner if they end up meeting.

Hu Tao comes next in priority having last been available in 2.3. Pyro DPS characters will benefit a lot from Dendro, so she could appear anywhere between the first couple of patches.

Albedo had two events set in the Dragonspine around the winter and the upcoming Mondstadt festival being around that time of the year wouldn’t be out of reach. This would also be another chance for Eula to come back.

Shenhe and Yelan are very likely to get their first reruns together. Just like the situation with Albedo, the Lantern Rite festival in Liyue is the perfect occasion for that. They should be happening around patch 3.4.

The hardest characters to get at the current moment are Yae Miko and Ayato with only one appearance for each of them. They could just appear randomly at any point similar to how Zhongli, Ganyu and Kokomi are getting reruns in 3.0. Both also have good interactions with Dendro, so they might be coming sooner, as a clever way to promote them.

As this is mostly speculation taking previous banners into account, the actual Sumeru banners order could be totally different, but the latest tendency is that characters are taking less time to return. Prepare for each version according to your desired characters, but always wait for the official announcements.

The Sumeru update will also net everyone tons of Primogems from all of the net content available, so you get even more shots at your desired character. And if you lose them, they might be back sooner than you think, so be prepared.
