Hyperblooming circus is a Genshin Impact achievement requiring you to defeat 4 opponents with Hyperbloom within 2s.

The Hyperbloom elemental reaction relies on Hydro and Dendro to create Dendro cores, which are then activated using Electro to create Hyperbloom. While it can be awkward to kill multiple enemies quickly with Hyperbloom due to the explosion timer on Bloom reactions, it can be done quite easily in specific scenarios.

One such scenario makes use of a domain and a set of characters that every Genshin Impact player is given by default, with the exception of the Electro Traveler, who you’ll have to unlock.

How to get the Hyperblooming circus achievement in Genshin Impact

As with most other Elemental Specialist achievements in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to put quite a lot of elemental mastery on one of your characters to make this easier to unlock. As Electro is responsible for triggering the required reaction in this case, you should use high elemental mastery artifacts on your Electro character – I would suggest using the Electro Traveler for this, but you can replace them with other Electro characters if you’re careful.

Other than the traveler, you’ll also need a Hydro character and Dendro character. Barbara and Collei work fine, though you might find other characters easier. All you need to do with these two is simply create the Dendro cores to set up the elemental reaction. You should unequip their gear to make it less likely that they can kill steal from the achievement.

With your characters prepared, you’ll then want to head off to the Violet Court domain in Inazuma, for the best chance at completing the achievement. Due to the average level of Inazuma being higher than much of the rest of the game for fixed-level content, the first tier of the Violet Court domain – Reign of Violet I – is enough for this achievement.

The first group of enemies at this level consists of 6 Hillichurls, which are ideal targets for the Hyperblooming circus achievement. Elementally infused targets such as Hydro slimes might seem like good alternatives, but the automatic Hydro infusion applied to them can make them die to your high mastery Electro damage by becoming an Electro-charged reaction on contact. Using these Hillichurls is simply more reliable.

When you enter the domain, the Hillichurls will be split. There are three melee Hillichurls, and three using thrown weapons at range. If you wait until after they throw, they will then chase you.

When you have the entire group chasing you, it should be quite simple to lure them together. This is particularly easy if you head straight to one of the edges of the arena. From here, swap to your Hydro character, and apply Hydro to all of the Hillichurls using your elemental skill as quickly as you can. Your goal is not to do damage at this stage, so Barbara with no equipment is perfectly fine for this.

When the status has been applied to most, or ideally all of them, swap to a Dendro character such as Collei, and use your elemental skill again to create the Dendro cores. Your goal at this point is to make as many cores as you can, ideally 4 or more, in a single use of your skill. If you manage to create a good group of Dendro cores and have the Hillichurls close or around them, it’s time to swap to the Electro Traveler and use your skill a final time.

The Hyperbloom reaction will kick in, and with a bit of luck kill most of the Hillichurls close to them for you. The behaviour of the cores is a bit finicky, so this might take a few attempts to get right. You can make the process easier by creating extra cores, and only activating them with Hyperbloom when they’re surrounded by Hillichurls – just don’t take too long, or the cores will detonate on their own.
