Sumeru is the latest region as of Genshin Impact 3.0, so finding your way over and how to get to Sumeru will be a common question for many travelers at the moment.

The home to the previously elusive Dendro Element, Sumeru is a land mixed between rainforest and deserts, and certainly looks like it’ll be well worth the short trip to find your way over.

With that in mind, it’s time for us to answer any questions you may have on how to get to Sumeru for the first time – and don’t worry, it’s not a particularly complex trip.

Getting to a new region for the first time can be a bit of an ordeal, if the previous trip to Inazuma made by some players is anything to go by. Still, reaching Sumeru seems to be a much easier task, particularly if you’re up to date on your Genshin Impact journey.

Start by selecting the newly available quest as of version 3.0, a Forest of Change. A Forest of Change is the first part of the Archon Quest Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark, which starts off the Sumeru content. In terms of helping us get to Sumeru, it provides a hint of how exactly the intended method of travel is meant to go, through the use of objective markers on the map.

If you’ve unlocked the Statue of the Seven teleport beacon in the Chasm area of Liyue, added back in version 2.6, then travelling to Sumeru is going to be a very simple task for you.

Teleport to the Statue of the Seven located in the Chasm. From here, you can just about drop straight down and reach a newly added Teleport Beacon shown below. Make sure to plunging attack to avoid dying of fall damage, then activate the new Teleport Beacon.

Facing toward the objective marker from the quest selected earlier, you will easily spot a tunnel. Wander into this tunnel and you’ll quickly notice the scenery change from the exposed rock and dirt that is typical of the chasm to a lush overgrowth, indicative of the Dendro element at work, which it of course is as you cross the border into Sumeru itself.

Continue along this path and you’ll quickly encounter a Seelie. Follow it for your very first treasure chest of the Sumeru Region, and of course, the answer to how to get to Sumeru itself.
