What is the Golden Apple Archipelago?

The Golden Apple Archipelago is a group of islands that is only accessible during Genshin Impact‘s summer event. This area first appeared in Version 1.6 where players were introduced to the Waverider system, a boat mechanic that allows players to traverse over water, which later became a vital mechanic in Inazuma.

What are the requirements to get to the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact 2.8?

You can only get to the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact 2.8 if you have:

  • reached at least Adventure Rank 32
  • completed Chapter 2: Prologue Archon Quest
  • completed Mona’s Story Quest

How can I get to the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact 2.8?

Going to the islands is quite easy. If you launch the game sometime yesterday or today, you should have been notified of the Summertime Odyssey quest called “The Golden Apple Vacation Returns!“

To get to the islands, you need to complete the quest by following the steps below:

  1. Talk to Katheryne at Mondstadt‘s Adventurers’ Guild.
  2. Talk to Fischl and Mona at the plaza in front of the Church of Favonius.
  3. Head inside the Angel’s Share Tavern and talk to Venti, Kazuha, and Xinyan.
  4. Talk to Venti on the second floor.
  5. Adjust the time to 08:00 – 10:00 of the next day.
  6. Go to the Main City Gate of Mondstadt.
  7. Head over to the marked location where you can find a Dodoco-like statue.
  8. Head over to the next marked location. Note: To reach the location, you need to summon a Waverider nearby.
  9. Use your Elemental Sight and follow the elemental traces.
  10. Defeat the Cryogunner Legionnaire.
  11. Go back to the camp.
  12. Head over to the marked location on top of a hill where you will contact Venti. This completes Summer Odyssey 1: “The Golden Apple Vacation Returns!“
