Sometimes, even big companies can mess things up, and that was what miHoYo just did, gifting Genshin players with a duplicated mail containing extra Intertwined Fates, some artifact experience bottles and 5 Golden Crabs. The email was intended to be sent only once, but something went wrong on the way.

The emails sent yesterday (February 8th) were deleted, and players who didn’t log in or claimed them beforehand will not find them in their in-game email box. But there’s no need to worry, as miHoYo acknowledged their own mistake, and will now send both emails for all players.

Extra Intertwined Fates given thanks to a Genshin Impact bug

According to the announcement of the Flowing Lights and Colors event, starting February 9th, we would receive some extra rewards for the Lantern Rites event, the main attraction for the 2.4 update, which included some extra Intertwined Fates.

But the emails went too early, and players also received them duplicated. Those who were quick enough could keep their rewards, and miHoYo quickly addressed the problem.

Later on the night, they also published the same announcement on their social media.

And thanks to an intern mistake (possibly), we get to keep 2 wishes instead of one. Take note that miHoYo didn’t say anything about removing or changing the rewards for the other days of the event, which basically asks us to login during the next 5 days.

With that in mind, the event will net us 4 extra Intertwined Fates in total instead of 3. If you’re planning to get Yae or any of the returning characters in 2.5, this is your lucky day.

Genshin Impact is currently on its 2.4 version, “Fleeting Colors in Flight”, which marks the return of the Lantern Rites event, along with some new and returning characters, a whole new area for exploration, new skins, enemies and many more.

You can play the game for free on mobile devices including Android, iOS, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Pc on both miHoYo’s official launcher and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
