Genshin Impact Yun Jin Build Guide: Suggested Roles, Recommended Artifact Sets and Weapons

Yun Jin is a playable Geo character in Genshin Impact. She uses the Polearm as her weapon and is a prestigious dancer, singer, and brewer in Liyue.
She is also the current Director of Yun-Han Opera Troupe.

Talents
| Elemental Skill | Opening Flourish Ms. Yun may just be acting out fights on stage, but her skills with the spear are real enough to defend against her foes. Press Flourishes her polearm in a cloud-grasping stance, dealing Geo DMG. Hold Takes up the Opening Flourish stance and charges up, forming a shield. DMG Absorption is based on Yun Jin’s Max HP and has 150% effectiveness against all Elemental DMG and Physical DMG. The shield lasts until she finishes unleashing her Elemental Skill. When the skill is released, when its duration ends, or when the shield breaks, Yun Jin will unleash the charged energy as an attack, dealing Geo DMG. Based on the time spent charging, it will either unleash an attack at Charge Level 1 or Level 2. |
| Elemental Burst | Cliffbreaker’s Banner Deals AoE Geo DMG and grants all nearby party members a Flying Cloud Flag Formation. Flying Cloud Flag Formation When Normal Attack DMG is dealt to opponents, Bonus DMG will be dealt based on Yun Jin’s current DEF. The effects of this skill will be cleared after a set duration or after being triggered a specific number of times. When one Normal Attack hits multiple opponents, the effect is triggered multiple times according to the number of opponents hit. The number of times that the effect is triggered is counted independently for each member of the party with Flying Cloud Flag Formation. |
Suggested Roles
Yun Jin works best as a Support or Sub DPS. While you can still try using her as your Main DPS, her ability to provide strong attack boosts to the party draws her more to the support role.
Recommended Weapons for Yun Jin (Support)
Staff of Homa
Staff of Homa’s Reckless Cinnabar increases HP by 20%. Additionally, it provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% of the wielder’s Max HP. When the wielder’s HP is less than 50%, this ATK bonus is increased by an additional 1% of Max HP.
This is a good weapon for Yun Jin as the shield she forms by her Opening Flourish (Hold) is based on her Max HP.
Deathmatch
Deathmatch’s Gladiator increases ATK and DEF by 16% if are there at least 2 enemies nearby. If there are less than 2 enemies nearby, ATK is increased by 24%.
This is a good weapon for Yun Jin as the bonus Normal Attack DMG from the Flying Cloud Flag Formation is based on her current DEF.
Favonius Lance
Favonius Lance’s Windfall gives CRIT Hits a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the Character. Can only occur once every 12s.
This is a good weapon for Yun Jin, so she could use her Elemental Burst and give ATK boost for the party more quickly.

Recommended Artifact Sets for Yun Jin (Support)
Husk Of Opulent Dreams
The Husk Of Opulent Dreams is highly recommended due to its DEF and Geo DMG bonus, a perfect fit for Yun Jin.

| 4-Piece Set | A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost. |
Archaic Petra
The Archaic Petra can be an alternative artifact set due to its Geo DMG bonus for Yun Jin and additional DMG for all party members.

The Noblesse Oblige set is also a good alternative artifact set due to its ATK bonus for all party members on top of the effects of Yun Jin’s Elemental Burst.
