It looks like Genshin Impact leaks are at it again, this time with a leak of the promotional Yae Miko images before the announcement.

Yae Miko teaser images leak

New promotional images for Yae Miko made an appearance in the Genshin Leaks channel of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord server earlier today, notably featuring Russian text as a hint to the origins of this particular leak.

These images going out early aren’t entirely a surprise, as Genshin Impact leaks have been a bit of a trend over a fair number of patches now, and while players are clearly enjoying them, miHoYo are decidedly not enjoying them.

It’s worth making a mention of the times here, the images appeared in the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discords Genshin Leaks channel almost two hours earlier than the announcement, so it seems likely that miHoYo announcing the character was a response to the images getting leaked and becoming fairly public, using the likes of the Wangsheng discord server.

It’s unfortunate for miHoYo if they’d been planning to hold this back a bit longer, but players are always happy for any details, big or small, of upcoming characters, regardless of how miHoYo may feel about the matter.

Is there anything else?

That’s all for this little Genshin Impact story featuring a new Yae Miko Leak, there will likely be more in the near future, as the presence of images like this makes a release in the next few patches much more likely, and the announcement itself has effectively confirmed it.

Given both of these details, it seems quite likely that Yae Miko will be appearing as the featured banner character sometime in 2.5, probably the lead character of that patch – it won’t be 2.4, as we already know the upcoming 2.4 Banner characters.

In any case, that’s all there is to say on this one.
