Genshin Impact: Why do Exploration progress rewards stop at 60%?

Exploration progress rewards are a good way to boost local reputation in Genshin impact, but why do they stop at 60% and not scale further?

Why do Exploration progress rewards not continue after 60% in Genshin Impact?

It’s quite obvious that the exploration progress rewards in Genshin Impact give you a small boost of Mora and local area reputation with every 20% of your exploration progress, but for whatever reason, they simply stop giving you these small boosts at 60%, so why is this, and what should the higher levels give?

One of the most immediate reasons that they could be set to stop giving out new things is so that players don’t feel pressured to seek 80% or higher exploration progress to boost their local reputation levels, but as the boost is so small (100 a time), it’s quite unlikely most players would even consider exploration progress rewards as a valid way of trying to improve their reputation level.

It could also be to disincentivise grinding out the local area all at once, by simply not giving additional incentives to do so.

Honestly these don’t seem like good reasons to me though, as the rewards for exploration progress are pretty weak to begin with, and are effectively a tiny bonus for the rewards of naturally clearing out an area over time.

If miHoYo even considers adding new rewards to exploration progress, it would be nice to see less of the Reputation point style rewards and more Mora, or similarly, consumable items, such as enhancement ores, heroes wit and other similar items – a one time pay off of Primogems at 100% would be a nice capstone for clearing the entirety of an area too, but it could be argued that will incentivise grinding and potentially make players ruin their own gameplay pacing by rushing to reach them, rather than exploring gradually.

Either way, it would be nice to see more, and better, exploration progress rewards in the future, but it seems like the system is largely there to give the player something for their exploration progress stat, even if the rewards are awful at the moment.
