Genshin Impact: Who is Arlecchino?

The Fatui is one of the main antagonistic groups in Genshin Impact. This faction has eleven (11) executive officers who have been granted Delusions by the Tsaritsa, the Cryo Archon herself.

These officers are called the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, and if you’re not new to the game, you should already know by now that La Signora, Childe, and Scaramouche are just three of them.

However, in an unexpected new Genshin Impact teaser, HoYoverse seems to have become generous to fans as the developer revealed not one more, but all of the other Harbingers we haven’t met so far. One of them is Arlecchino.

What we know about Arlecchino so far

As of writing, Arlecchino‘s alias and rank as one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers have not been revealed yet. However, what we do know is that she runs an orphanage called the House of the Hearth. Looking at how the orphanage is run, it is presumed to be located in Snezhnaya.

In the orphanage, orphans are given the patronymics “Snezhevich” and “Snezhevna.” These names can be translated to English as “Son of Snow” and “Daughter of Snow.”

Moreover, the orphans here are not raised as ordinary individuals. Instead, they are trained from childhood as members of the Fatui who will then be sent out to missions all over Teyvat.

Therefore, running an orphanage doesn’t necessarily make Arlecchino “kind.” It is even speculated in the Genshin Lore subreddit that many of the children may have been made into orphans by the Fatui themselves under her orders.

While these orphans are raised ultimately as “spies,” they appear to have strong bonds.

For instance, Efim Snezhevich, one of Arlecchino‘s agents who appears in the world quest The Replacement’s Secret, is said to favor Lyudochka Snezhevna because they were together in the House of the Hearth.

On the other hand, Katarina Snezhnevna, whom the Traveler meets in The Chasm, does not leave the mines because she is searching for her brother Nikolay Snezhevich. Both were also orphans raised in the same orphanage.
