Dust of Azoth can be used to convert items in Genshin Impact via alchemy into other similar items, such as swapping the element of crystals.

So where do you find this useful item? It’d make grinding a lot easier if we could change the useless boss materials we have on us at any given time after all, right?

How to get Dust of Azoth in Genshin Impact

Dust of Azoth can be found in one place most of the time, and while exceptions do occasionally appear, its pretty much one place only – Paimons Bargains, in the Stardust exchange.

To find the Stardust exchange, first head to the Wish screen.

From here, the shop button is visible in the bottom left corner of the screen. Click that to be taken to the shop tab.

Navigate down the side menu to Paimon’s bargains, then head into the Stardust exchange tab at the top – you don’t have to scroll down particularly far in this area to find Dust of Azoth, and there should be plenty available.

At a low cost of 5 Stardust per 10 Dust of Azoth, this isn’t actually that bad a deal – I generally avoid spending my stardust on anything other than the wishes available each month here, but this is certainly a deal worth considering in Genshin Impact at least some of the time.

Dust of Azoth is a remarkably useful item in Genshin if you’re a bit short of items to finish and upgrade or Ascension – the most obvious example being swapping elemental crystals to a different element if you have a shortage of a particular type just when you roll a new character.

Is there anything else?

You can also occasionally find some in temporary event shops, but this is the only consistent way currently available.

That’s it for this article, Dust of Azoth is pretty easy to find this way, and you can buy plenty of it per month.

If you’d be interested in more, you can find it in our Genshin Impact section here, and you can find more articles written by me specifically on my author page.

And if you haven’t tried Genshin Impact yet, you can play the game for free on mobile devices including Android and iOS alongside consoles such as Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Pc on both miHoYo’s official launcher and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
