The new 4-star character Thoma requires a lot of Fluorescent Fungus to ascend, but where to find them? This new ascension item is, currently, only available in a specific area that’s not that easy to explore.

This particular species of fungi is native to the mysterious Tsurumi Island, which is completely covered in mist until you conclude its 4 steps, 4 days World Quest. You can freely hunt those glowing mushrooms from the moment you step into the island, but it’ll be easier without all that fog.

Where to find Fluorescent Fungus

You’ll usually find more than 2 fungi close to each other. Most of them are pretty easy to find, next to the shores, and there’s no need to worry about exploring hidden points of the island. If you’ve been advancing in either Sumida’s commissions or the ghosts’ requests, you may already have a good amount of them.

The locations were given by the official Genshin Impact Interactive World Map, so if you didn’t find any fungi in that specific place, you probably already got it earlier. Since characters require over 160 items to fully ascend, you’ll need to keep coming back to get more.

Genshin Impact is currently on its 2.2 version, “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, which introduces a whole new area to explore, as well as new enemies, weapons, events, and the return of previously limited characters and gadgets.
